What is it? The I-CWs were created by Goztow with as main target to improve in-game skill, attitude and teamwork. It are practice games unique in their genre. They started as weekly wars with Warrior Nation-members only that came together to play a game. Then came a whole own ladder system to keep individual scores. The ladder isn't based on a win in the game only, but it tries to take in account the way a team won. For Renegade it means that a win on points, by camping, will get the winning team lots less ladder points than a win on base destruction!
Practice It's always nice to play games in the online servers but teamwork often isn't optimal. Lots of heroes want to save the game but without some teamwork they often loose the game by blind soul attacks. Clan wars are great as they offer lots of teamwork but it requires lots of skill and prepared strategies to compete with the bests and there tends to be attitude problems with some members. Then where's all the fun in this?
Internal CW offers practice with good players in one or more server(s) to improve skill by exercise and by opening your eyes bigtime! Indeed: we can all learn from our clan-mates. Teamwork is necessary to win the game and heroes won't get respect from their clanmates. However, the strats can't be prepared in advance as u never know with which players u'll play (auto - teaming, team mix). This will help people that join a random server online to make quick decisions, to have improved skill and to try to create teamwork.
Attitude problems for some members will be spotted during internal CW where you'll be able to counter them without loosing face towards other clans.
Rules
The Koss2 or good friends only! The Internal CW's are only for practise for KOSs-members and allied clans. In some cases good friends (e.g. recruits) can join as well :-).
Fair teamplay! The regular KOSs2 server rules apply to I-CW.
When do we play? Normally we'll play AOW every monday at 8 PM gmt (9 PM Swedish, Dutch or Belgian time). You can check the calendar for all playing dates
How does the ranking system work? There are some basic rules for the ranks:
30 points to win per team, per map. We divide 30 by the number of buildings. On islands, for example, there are 3 buildings so that will be 10 points per destroyed building. If NOD destroys 2 buildings and gdi one, all gdi players get 10 points and all nod players get 20 points.
On Field there are 4 buildings, so that means 7,5 points per destroyed building. The system is easy and fair.
A ped nuker will cause all his team members to get 30 points (ped nuke destroys all buildings).
Last but not least: the team that wins will get 5 extra points. That's one point less than u can get by destroying a building on a map with 5 buildings.
Ranks for sniping are based on the kills.
The ranks are updated manually in the hours/days after the I-CW.
Organisation and advantages
Less camping:
Thanks to the ranking system, camping will have no use at all as it will lead to only 5 points for the winning team. Pure camping games without any killed buildings will be a 5 points game, which is only 14 % of all points u can win... If the enemy can infiltrate your base and kill a building, u loose more points than u can win by camping. Base camping won't be a valid option cause from the moment the opponent destroys one of your buildings, you'll loose rank points (e.g. 1 building = 6 or more points, and u only get 5 points for winning on points).
Fanmaps:
Each I-CW has a standard and a fanmap. For standard maps that show major bugs, a fanmap will be used if available (e.g. glacier_fly will become glacier_TS). You can download maps here
Please respect the other players:
Do not kill enemy players or buildings during the joining map.
